Berkley Environmental operates regionally with offices in seven major cities. It is a niche business that seeks to provide creative business solutions that promote sustainability and humanity by helping clients maintain a healthy relationship with risk. Some say the best way to build a powerful brand is simply to build a great business. While logos, taglines, and clever commercials may surprise and delight, nothing defines your brand more than the day-to-day interaction with your customers and your people.
Exit10 spearheaded an initiative to really define who Berkley Environmental is. It started with a months-long gathering of research - both internally from Berkley employees, and externally from both Berkley clients and those who don’t currently work with Berkley. Because while it’s important for a company to know what they’d like to be, it’s even more important to learn what they’re perceived to be. The best corporate voices are both believable and easy to execute naturally.
From all the data gathered, Exit10 was able to identify and articulate a company vision, mission, purpose, and core values. This video was created to communicate these key corporate pillars both internally and externally.
Once Exit10 was able to help identify a corporate vision, mission, purpose and core values, the next step was to help create a consistent brand voice, including the creation of a whole new design look and feel. Yet, with so many communication tools and varying audiences, it was important that Berkley always feels on brand. From pattern and color selection to the characteristic quality of fonts, everything was chosen to accentuate the Berkley brand. It incorporates bright colors and bold imagery that exude energy, movement and confidence.
In collaboration with Exit10, Berkley Environmental engaged in a new initiative called “BE Active” that aims to encourage its people, customers, and communities alike to be healthier and give more to the people and places around them.
By partaking in activities that ranged from pushing back invasive species in an attempt to bring back nearly lost habitats to joining the fight to end world hunger by volunteering at the local food bank, Berkley Environmental strives to make the kinds of positive differences in the communities and world that we’d like to see take place. BE Active is a rallying cry to do just that.
